Video Series Returning Soon – Send Your Suggestions

We will soon be recording new videos to continue with our “Chatting with eBay Partner Network” videocast series. We received a lot of great feedback from the first four episodes, and we will use your suggestions to improve our videos and give you useful and insightful information.     I would like to see an explanation as to the constant delays in showing click data and what is being done to fix the problems with losing clicks that is happening on a daily basis.

    No BS about a 3rd party audit, just the facts about what is being done to make the affiliate program right again.

    Hi there, I’d like a feature on eBay motors. How this differs from the regular eBay categories, how the metrics are different in terms of reporting, sales cycles, how to improve sales from sites that focus on eBay motors listings. There’s a fair bit of ‘bashing’ going on the net, talking about it’s not worth promoting motors listings due to off eBay sales, improper listings (i.e. promoting a garage or service rather than a motor vehicle itself).

    I’ve just recently invested time ( and £) on some focussed domains that I’m trying to develop which includes ppc so any help, hints or tips would be most welcome.

    I would love to see a video on how to deal with, what is the reason for and an overall look at why EPC fluctuates so much from day to day, and maybe some solutions to making EPC more consistent, One day it’s .03 then next day it’s ,14 then next day .05, then .35, is an example of the fluctuations I am referring to.

    How about a formal process for reporting potential TOS violations? Not only would this increase eBay shareholder value, but it would also potentially protect other affiliate’s hard earned clicks. It irks my business to see so many affiliates proactive regarding suggested changes to stay clear of TOS violations while select few afiliates continue to blatantly break the rules from time to time.

    1) Would love to see some response about the lack of support in the forum.
    2) Response to the LACK of testing of the code before releases.
    3) Response to the reason the tools continue to break and why it takes so long to correct (should be able to roll back code).

    For JR above – EPC will swing greatly if for one or more of the reason below -

    1) Low # of clicks or # of clicks varies greatly
    2) WBR varies greatly

    Steady WBR and clicks will give you a steadier EPC. Your EPC would vary greatly on the old system also. EPN is not a true EPC system as the EPC is really just a calculated # from the revenue you generate/future revenue divided by # clicks.

    The interview format is good. An idea might be to interview eBay staff and execs in other departments (Developer API, various verticals, etc.) to help illustrate how ePN fits into the bigger picture at eBay, and how business units there work together.

    Also, the ePN “stat of the day” in each video is kinda neat – keep it up!
