Understanding the eBay Partner Network Approval Process
June 24th, 2009
Hello Partners,
We often get asked about our requirements for accepting new partners into eBay Partner Network. Recently, we came across a great blog entry that gives some great insights into getting accepted into ePN. TheNicheStoreBuilder.com’s “7 Tips for Getting Accepted into ePN – eBay Affiliate Network” offers interesting and insightful tips on becoming a new ePN partner.
In addition to the tips mentioned above, we want to stress the importance of giving valid contact information in your application. Although we understand the desire for privacy, giving false phone numbers and/or contact information is an easy way to get rejected quickly from eBay Partner Network. We want to ensure that you aren’t getting rejected for reasons that can easily be corrected. When applying to ePN, please enter your current contact information and an explanation of how you drive traffic to your website and your plans to promote eBay. The more we can understand about your business model, the easier it is for us to make a clear and correct decision.
We welcome your feedback and questions, please comment on this thread if you would like further clarification and we will be happy to respond to you.
To your continued success,
Amanda

Hello Can you tell me now how to join ebay inda program
June 24th, 2009 at 1:36 pm
Hi,
I dont know if ebay could do this but I have a software package that i want to embed an ebay front end into it so everytime someone buys something through my front end, i get an commission. So instead of me advertsing through a website, i would be selling my software and one of the functions of the software would be to direct customers to ebay.
Is this possbile ?
Thanks
Gary

Also just to keep in mind my site will have content related to the site other than ebay merchandise. So when i meant revolve around i meant a good deal of my ads will only be ebay.

Hi Sallie,
We have absolutely heard your requests and have not forgotten. We are still finding the best solution to increase the font size of the comments. We hope to have a fix in place shortly.

In ref to the font size in the comments section here…
I simply hold down my “control” key, and roll my mouse wheel forward 2-3 clicks!
“ctrl plus + key = larger fonts” (the +plus key)
When your done on the site, just reverse the process by pressing ctrl (plus) ther – Minus key, or use “View > Zoom > normal” in your browsers main menu.

Hi Gary,
For approval of a special business model, like the one you are talking about, it’s best to write in the details to ePN-cs-english@ebay.com for specific approval.

I guess, the existing eBay policies for accepting or rejecting are perfectly designed. Only those people get into problems, who try to cheat the systems. Hence being honest helps in any business. Online or even offline. Thanks to eBay…

Hello Can you tell me now how to join ebay inda program
June 29th, 2009 at 3:36 pm
Hello,
We have lots of questions coming in, I wanted to address all of the kinds of issues that we are hearing so that you can write in to the appropriate place to find out more details about your individual situations.
If you have submitted an application and would like to find out the status – or if your application has been rejected, please write to ePN-cs-english@ebay.com for more information on your specific application. You can also write this address if you would like to be approved into different country programs, such as India’s program.
If you have questions about your business model – if you are wanting to promote eBay other than on your website, please write to ePN-cs-english@ebay.com with details about how you would like to promote eBay for approval.
Also, we have had some comments come in with questions about Network Quality. If you have specific questions about the status of your account in relation to our Network Quality team, please write to eBayPartnerNetwork-quality@ebay.com.
We have received quite a few questions in regards to the length of the application process. Our application process does take several days. eBay Partner Network receives hundreds of new applications each day, we need to take the proper amount of time to look at each application individually to ensure the quality of our network. We apologize for any inconvenience to you for this waiting period, but we are doing our best to ensure that our network remains of the highest quality for our partners.
Best,
Amanda | eBay Partner Network Team

Hi James,
Many times when publishers haven’t received a response back, it is because our e-mails are being caught in their spam filters. Please make sure that noreply@ebaypartnernetwork.com is white listed so that our e-mails come through to you.

Amanda | eBay Partner Network

Hi Amanda,
I would like to Join Ebay Partner Network but I am still on the process of completing my website. I just want to know if your approval process requires a establish website with stable traffic or do you also accept newly registered domain. Do i have to generate quality visitors first before applying for Ebay partner network? Hoping for your reply.
Thank you and More power to your company

Geoffrey

Val – yes, that e-mail address is still correct. You should receive a response soon.
Geoffrey, your site does not necessarily need to already have stable traffic to be approved. It is best to provide a detailed explanation of how you plan to promote eBay in your application.
